Camp Bob Waldorf is a nonprofit camp that is driven by the values of community, inclusion, identity, and respect. The program is deeply committed to youth safeguarding and to creating a culture of dignity, accountability, and care, supported by ongoing training and best practices that prioritize the safety and well-being of every young person in the community. Camp Bob Waldorf enriches the lives of youth throughout Greater Los Angeles from elementary school to college and beyond.

Camp Bob Waldorf is owned and operated by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles, a 100-year-old nonprofit organization. Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles provides programs including Youth Mentorship, Camp Bob Waldorf, and College Access + Success. Camp Bob Waldorf is a non-sectarian camp for children in underserved communities, and Camp Bob Waldorf: Jewish Cultural Session is a pluralistic camp for Jewish children. The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association, which verifies compliance with over 300 nationally recognized standards for operation.
The leadership team includes Katie Toole, Vice President of Camp & Retreat Operations; Sofia Varona, Assistant Director; Rob Rodriguez, Program Director; Guadalupe Muñoz Zaragoza, Registration and Outreach Associate; Brian Sapp, Facilities Assistant; Lynn Dutson, Facilities Coordinator; Elvis Torres, Facilities Team Member; Rebecca Staff, Recreation & Retreats Program Coordinator; and Alfred Aguilar, Executive Chef. Assistant Director Sofia Varona received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies at Cal State LA with an emphasis in Directed Elementary Subject Matter. Program Director Rob Rodriguez has a decade-long career at the YMCA and advanced to Senior Director of Community Development for the Burbank YMCA. Recreation & Retreats Program Coordinator Rebecca Staff earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma and was a student-athlete for the women’s rowing team.
A former camper and Counselor-in-Training shared, “My mom is proud of me because she's seen me go from a shy kid to a confident young man.”
