Mythik Camps is part of a group of mythology-themed programs that also includes Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, and Daring Girls, along with the virtual immersive game Mytho. Camp Mythik is a sleepaway camp, while Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, and Daring Girls are day camps. The programs follow an ever-evolving narrative with a fresh story each week, and no two weeks at Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, Daring Girls, or Camp Mythik are alike. The Summer 2026 theme is titled VICIOUS CYCLES. The programs use immersive and engaging lessons and activities inspired by Percy Jackson and other mythological heroes, and are described as mythology-themed programs that inspire curiosity and wonder, where myths, legends, and the art of storytelling come alive and turn campers into active participants in their own mythological odysseys. These experiences are described as designed to spark imagination, unleash heroes, and give kids the confidence to tell their own stories.

The leadership team includes Dr. Crystal Bobb-Semple, Founder and CEO of Plato Learning, the company behind the literacy summer camps, Camp Half-Blood, Camp Jupiter, Daring Girls, and the virtual immersive game Mytho. The team also includes Alex Tissiere, Director of Story; José Fernandez, Director of Operations; Dr. Melba Nicholson Sullivan, National Program Director; Alona Shewach, Marketing & Communications Manager and Customer Communications Manager; Lainey Harrison, Customer Relations Manager; Elle Vallejos, Recruiting and Hiring Manager; Michael Springthorpe, Program Development Manager; and Cass Morris, Story Editor and Collaborative Research Editor. Dr. Crystal Bobb-Semple completed her BA/MA in Analytical Mathematics. Dr. Melba Nicholson Sullivan is a licensed PhD in Clinical/Community Psychology and worked in global mental health with a specialty in child and family development, and she minored in theater arts at Howard University.

The mission of Mythik Camps’ parent company is described as creating summer camp experiences designed to spark imagination and unleash a child's inner hero. The mission further states that classic stories are transformed into multimodal explorations of culture, history, and identity, and that a love of adventure and passion for storytelling forged a company whose mission is to transform classic mythology into a summer camp experience designed to spark imagination, unleash heroes, and give kids the confidence to tell their own stories.

Parent testimonials describe the camp as “the best camp in NYC,” and one parent from New Jersey notes that their family drives in for the week to attend after moving to Westchester in 2020. A parent from California reports that their son wanted to return repeatedly, felt seen and cared for by counselors, and that the experience was creative, active, fun, and included educational components that were emergent, calling it the best camp experience he has had and the kind of camp the parent wished had been available while growing up. A parent from D.C. shares that their daughter loves mythology, came home with stories every day, learned a lot, made many new friends, and especially appreciated a counselor named Jean, calling this camp their favorite. Another parent from New York notes that even a location just a couple of blocks from home felt like an entirely different world to their child.

Mythik Camps states that it is looking for fresh and enchanting locations that can spark the imagination and captivate the hearts and minds of aspiring demigods, and invites communities to bring the camp to their area by filling out a form and sharing it with others.
