Girls’ Empowerment Programs includes Girls Circle groups, TechGYRLS®, Camp Rosie: Girls on the Rise, and evidence-based Healthy Relationship education. The program offers STEAM learning opportunities and support groups for young girls and those who identify with female development through these specific activities.

Established in 1926, YWCA Glendale & Pasadena leads Girls’ Empowerment Programs as part of its ongoing work. The organization’s mission is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Its trauma informed and culturally competent services are available in English, Spanish, and Armenian. The leadership team includes Debra Suh (CEO), Alejandra Sanchez (Program Director), Jomie Liu (Director of Community Engagement), Erin English (Development & Communications Manager), and Leah Inman (Administrative Manager). YWCA Glendale & Pasadena is a supporter and founder of the annual Glendale Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Gathering as part of the Coalition for an Anti-Racist Glendale, and Jomie Liu has led partnerships with local schools and community organizations to deliver year-round, evidence-based programming and community-wide violence prevention efforts.
