Sacramento Traditional Shotokan Karate

Sacramento Traditional Shotokan Karate offers Traditional Shotokan Karate classes and drop-in or try-out classes. Beginners are incorporated into the regular class and separated out for specialized instruction, and the program is associated with the Kids Karate program at Broadstone Sports Club in Folsom, CA for ages 7-11.

• Traditional Shotokan Karate classes — Recommended minimum age for training is 12; some variance is possible on a trial basis, especially if the student has had prior martial arts training. We are also associated with the Kids Karate program at Broadstone Sports Club in Folsom, Ca. Ages 7-11. · Tuesday and Thursday 6:30PM - 8:00PM

About the provider

The program is led by John Leggett, Sensei, who is a 7th Dan and has been training in traditional Shotokan karate for well over 30 years. The program states that its ultimate goal is to improve the character of the individual, both physically and mentally.

• Drop-in / try out a class — Open to anyone, even from other styles. · Visitors are welcome to try out a class or drop in by showing up at one of the regularly scheduled classes.

Any race, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation persons are welcome to train. Courtesy, discipline and hard work will be expected. No training on major US Holidays. There are no separate kids or beginning classes. Beginners are incorporated into the regular class and separated out for specialized instruction.
