Goleta School of Ballet

Goleta School of Ballet offers Pre-Ballet, Pre-Primary, Primary A, Primary B, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, Level 5, Level 6, Pre-Professional Division A1, and Pre-Professional Division A2. Classes are listed as once a week for 45 minutes in the Children's Division, once a week for 1 hour in the Student Division for Levels 1 and 2, twice a week or more at Level 3, and by audition and placement only in the Pre-Professional Division.

• Pre-Primary — 4 years old by 9/1/2026 · Thursday 2:30 pm-3:15 pm; Saturday 8:30 am-9:15 am · $78 per month · One class per week. Girls: light pink leotard with skirt and pink tights; boys: white shirt and black leggings.
• Primary A — Kindergarten · Thursday 3:15 pm-4:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 am-10:45 am · $78 per month · One class per week. Girls: light pink leotard with skirt and pink tights; boys: white shirt and black leggings.
• Primary B — 1st Grade · Thursday 4:00 pm-4:45 pm; Saturday 10:45 am-11:30 am · $78 per month · One class per week. Girls: light blue leotard with skirt and pink tights; boys: white shirt and black leggings.

About the provider

The school was founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Lisa Abshere. It has been a staple in the Santa Barbara community since 1986, opened in its newly renovated location in Old Town Goleta in Fall 2011, and has grown considerably over the last 40 years. Its mission is to offer a solid foundation in classical ballet and to teach, at all levels, an appreciation, interest, and genuine fondness for music and dance. Annual performances include The Nutcracker or The Nutcracker Tutu Suite in December, The Mixed Repertory Gala Program in February, a full-length ballet classic in the spring, and Summer Workshop offerings. Students also perform in the Spring Performance and other school performances.
