Safety Town of Santa Barbara County is a safety education program that includes arts and crafts, songs, community visitors, and one field trip. Children receive a building assignment and T-shirt on Monday, and community safety professionals such as police officers, firefighters, and forest rangers visit to present safety lessons. Safety Town has served children of Santa Barbara County since 1975.

Parent/guardian must attend a brief orientation meeting on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Grouping requests are no longer accepted. One transfer is allowed for a $25 transfer fee. $25 fee applies for every 15 minutes late picking up a child. Cancellations have refund rules. Children requiring a 1:1 aide or extra support must have an adult aide provided by the parent/guardian. Behavior issues may lead to dismissal. Children must be signed out by a parent/guardian to leave each day.
