About
Santa Barbara Krav Maga offers Little Warriors, Youth Krav Maga, Teen Krav Maga, Adult Krav Maga, Cardio Combat, and Women’s Self-Defense Workshops. Little Warriors includes age-appropriate martial arts and self-defense training with anti-bullying, situational awareness, coordination, and basic self-defense skills. Youth and Teen Krav Maga include striking, pad work, self-defense drills, situational training, and conditioning in Adult Krav Maga, while Cardio Combat includes kickboxing, heavy bag work, HIIT, circuit training, and striking drills.
Programs
- Little Warriors — 4–6 · Age-appropriate martial arts and self-defense training; focuses on anti-bullying, situational awareness, coordination, and basic self-defense skills.
- Youth Krav Maga — 8–10 · Builds confidence, discipline, respect, self-control, and real-world self-defense skills in a safe and supportive environment.
- Teen Krav Maga — 11–16 · Builds confidence, discipline, respect, self-control, and real-world self-defense skills in a safe and supportive environment.
- Adult Krav Maga — Adults · Classes include striking, pad work, self-defense drills, situational training, and conditioning.
- Cardio Combat — 30-minute class · Strength & conditioning program with kickboxing, heavy bag work, HIIT, circuit training, and striking drills.
- Women’s Self-Defense Workshops — 12 and up · Held every two months · Workshop covers basic striking, effective self-defense techniques, and scenario-based training for common threats such as grabs, chokes, and assaults. Minors must be accompanied by a parent.

About the provider
Santa Barbara Krav Maga was established in 2011. Its mission is to provide some of the most effective, modern, and reality-based Krav Maga training available today. The program has partnered with local schools, youth sports programs, businesses, and community organizations throughout Santa Barbara, and it has conducted self-defense seminars and workshops for the City of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara City College student organizations, UCSB groups, fraternities, sororities, and local businesses.
Beginner-friendly; all fitness levels are welcome; no experience required for classes; training is in a controlled, supportive environment; recommended training frequency is 2–3 times per week; women’s self-defense workshops are held every two months and are open to ages 12 and up with minors accompanied by a parent.
