FLEX Performing Arts offers dance classes that include indoor studio instruction, outdoor dance classes, and a driveway dance class format. Students participate in performances such as a June recital and a Christmas show.

FLEX Performing Arts uses professional Harlequin dance floors in its studio and includes an area where family members can watch students dance. The studio offers a free trial for new students, with setup available by email. The mission of FLEX Performing Arts is “Building strength and confidence through the arts,” with aims that include fostering a positive and encouraging environment for performing arts students and their families, encouraging and supporting students, stressing the importance of athleticism in dance through safe and effective conditioning, and educating on proper technique while instilling life skills such as work ethic, teamwork, resilience, and accountability. The mission also includes contributing to the community in a meaningful way, holding staff and students to a higher standard, providing performance and enrichment opportunities, creating an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life are welcome and supported, encouraging body positivity, helping students reach their personal goals, and having fun.
FLEX Performing Arts developed over the last few years after Coastal Dance and Music Academy closed in February 2020, when Brianna was approached by former CDMA students to hold outdoor dance classes. The leadership team includes Studio Director Jennine and Operations Manager Michelle, who can be reached by email. FLEX Performing Arts states that it aims to contribute to the community in a meaningful way and has received an overwhelming response as a much needed addition to the Five Cities community.
Parent and family testimonials describe children and grandchildren enjoying dance classes, recitals, and the Christmas show, and mention teachers and staff as patient and friendly, with an environment that some reviewers call unique and special.
