Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers arts programs such as jewelry making, sports programs, STEAM programs, and help with homework. The program also participates in the National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI).

Since 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has provided programs for local youth. The organization supports all youth and teens of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion in reaching their full potential. It has expanded to two counties and multiple Clubs and provides healthy daily snacks. The organization offers safe, inclusive spaces and experiences that empower members’ learning and growth and continually updates and innovates safety policies, programs, and training for staff and volunteers designed to protect young people.
Through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast benefits an additional 4,000 local children each year and serves members in the communities of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Atascadero, Paso Robles, Creston, and Shandon. One alumni statistic from the organization reports that “57% of Alumni say the club saved my life.” The organization oversees a budget of nearly $6 million in one instance and over $4 million in another instance, raised from individual and corporate contributions, foundation and government grants, special events, and program service contracts and fees.
