• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm
• Price: Most of our Hanford families qualify for 100% free preschool tuition
Hanford Learning Center accepts children ages 3–5 who are potty-trained and not in pull ups, and children must be 3 years old on or before December 1st. Educare teachers at this site are trained regularly, and the program offers half or full-day options with part-time and full-time enrollment. Families are invited to daily chats, orientations and events, regular texts, phone calls, and emails, as well as parent-teacher conferences twice a year, an Annual Parent Orientation, Open Houses, Donuts with Daddies, Muffins with Mommies, Art Night, Farmers Markets, Fall Festivals, Winter Singing Celebrations, and Parent Advisory Committee opportunities. The program is part of non-profit Educare Services, Inc., which has seven locations across Fresno and Kings County. Hanford Learning Center was founded in 2000 and lists Maria Lopez as Site Supervisor.
The stated mission is to offer a quality state preschool that prepares children for kindergarten in a loving, supportive, and educational environment that is a place to learn, play, and grow. Educare reports that it develops partnerships with local schools and communities to deliver a high quality preschool experience. One parent, Jose R., shared that both his son and daughter attended this preschool, that he felt the teachers kept his children safe and taught them what was needed to prepare for kindergarten, and that his daughter was upset she would not be returning after she graduated.
