Manhattan Beach Surf Volleyball Club focuses on volleyball skill development and gives players experience competing in regional and national tournaments. Each team practices multiple times a week with guidance from experienced coaches.

Manhattan Beach Surf Volleyball Club was founded in 2006 by Larry and Christine Mirick with one boys' 12s team and a focus on teaching fundamentals, competing, and having fun. MB Surf expanded in 2008 and again in 2009. In 2011, Michael Boehle and John Beckwith took over ownership, and today Michael Boehle is the sole owner and director. Each team has two experienced coaches, and strong coaching, committed players, and team camaraderie contributed to early success, including one team earning three Junior Olympic medals in four years. The club maintains its core values and a family atmosphere. The stated mission emphasizes volleyball skill development and shaping respectful, well-rounded young men who do things the “right” way. Asics Volleyball MB Surf continues its sponsorship with Asics. The club’s website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software.
