Motivated Minds

Motivated Minds offers infant care with movement, exploration, and relaxation areas, along with standard care and play time. It also offers toddler care with activity-based learning centers for gross motor play, fine motor play, imagination and quiet play, language development, music and movement, and creative arts and exploration. Preschool includes morning and afternoon circle time, learning centers, math, language and literacy activities, music and movement, outdoor play at least twice daily, lunch, and quiet time.

• General schedule: Typical daily structure may include Morning Circle Time; Math Basics, Language, Science and Literacy Skills; Stories, Songs, and Poems; Music and Movement; Outdoor Play; Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch and Nap Time. Toddler days may include group activities, teacher-initiated activities, child-directed activities in Learning Centers, lunch and naptimes, and outdoor play at least twice daily. Preschool days may include morning and afternoon circle time, Learning Centers, Math, Language & Literacy activities, music and movement, outdoor play at least twice daily, lunch and quiet time.

About the provider

Motivated Minds was started to lay an educational foundation for children in and around the community so they could be prepared for kindergarten and beyond and develop an interest in learning. The program says it partners with parents as co-educators and creates community between home and school.

All programs abide by state-mandated teacher-to-child ratios. Families receive assessments regularly through written reports, ongoing portfolio collections, quarterly reports, and family/teacher conferences twice a year. For babies and toddlers, a daily log of feeding, sleeping, diapering, and learning activities is provided.
