Regal Swim offers swim lessons, ocean swim lessons, and private lifeguards for pool parties. Lessons take place at students’ home and apartment pools, and ocean swim lessons are held in the ocean in areas shown in purple on the provider’s map.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Bookings are accepted up to 80 days in advance; ocean swim lessons are available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions.
• Price: Private lifeguards for pool parties: $88 to $120 per hour. Ocean swim lessons: $100 to $150 per hour.
Regal Swim was started in 2016. The goal at Regal Swim is to provide quality, structured swim lessons to swimmers ages two to adult. All instructors and lifeguards are professionals with at least a bachelor’s degree. All Regal Swim instructors have at least a bachelor’s degree, pass a swim test administered by the owner, and pass a background test. The owner, Coach Marci, completed the American Red Cross WSI course. The curriculum is based on the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program and is modified by the owner to focus first on survival swimming and then stroke technique. The program offers at-your-home swim lessons, lessons at apartment pools, and ocean swim lessons for intermediate swimmers ages 8 and up. Only up to two students are taught at a time for safety and quality reasons, and there are no lesson packages so families can customize the number of lessons as the season progresses.
