Rising Stars Academy is a private, family-owned academy that offers high-quality child care and education for children from infancy to 5th grade, as well as high quality childcare for children aged from birth to 12 years old. The program uses the Abeka Curriculum enhanced with STEM integration in technology-rich classrooms equipped with computers, sound systems, and video tools. Playgrounds and nature spaces encourage exploration, teamwork, and respect for the world around them, and active outdoor spaces are part of the daily experience. Healthy meals and snacks are prepared onsite in a full-service kitchen, and the program offers flexible hours for working parents, including early mornings from 6:00 AM. Rising Stars Academy uses the Playground childcare management system to keep parents updated on progress, daily activities, and milestones. The academy includes an elementary campus (K–5) with STEM, arts, field trips, and after-school programs in a values-based environment, and has four locations across Gardena, Hawthorne, and Los Angeles.
The mission at Rising Stars Academy states that everything the program does centers around each child’s growth and happiness, with a goal to provide care and education in a warm, supportive, fun, and academically rich environment. The staff is described as a passionate team of childcare experts and educators who are dedicated to staying at the forefront of early childhood education. Families describe the program as professional, organized, and clean, with teachers and staff who are warming and nurturing, attentive, and committed to children’s well-being. Parents report thoughtful daily activities, clear rules and firm structure, strong communication with regular updates, photos, and notes about progress, and support for children’s milestones, including experiences with breastfed infants and children staying through graduation.
