About
Google Code Next is a free tech and AI education program where high school students learn about computer science and problem solving. During programming, students work on solo and team projects to produce websites, programs, and other demonstrations of their learning and interests.

Google’s Code Next program works with high schoolers to cultivate the next generation of tech leaders. Code Next meets Inglewood high school students where they are and provides the skills and inspiration they need for long and rewarding careers in technology. Through community relationships, mentor-mentee relationships with real Googlers, and other courses, Code Next students mature into effective and ethical leaders. The Code Next staff brings together coaches experienced in education, computer science/AI, and engineering, and coaches work to create a safe space where everyone feels respected and connected to one another. This work is supported by partners who work in the students’ communities.
Among the most recent 12th grade graduates, 91.5% are accepted to and attending college or other higher education programs. Of these graduates, 88.4% are majoring in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field, and 58.1% specifically name “computer science” or “information systems” as their major.
