SoCal Elite Sports was founded in 2003 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth sports organization that specializes in youth sports in the Irvine and Tustin areas of Orange County, CA. Its mission is to educate youth about all aspects of sports, promote the life lessons that sports generate, and promote good health and high activity levels to all participants. SoCal Elite Sports is committed to serving the community.

All basketball coaches are former basketball players who have coached at the high school, college, and/or professional level, and all volleyball trainers are professionally trained with high-level volleyball experience. The program offers year-round youth basketball and volleyball programs for all ages and skill levels, with players grouped by age and/or ability/skill level, and all skill levels are welcome. The Weekly Basketball Training Academy has four skill levels (rookie, beginner, intermediate, and advanced), and the coaching staff evaluates and places players in the correct level after the first workout, with levels based on skill rather than age. Beginning as early as four years old, players are able to start learning the game of basketball, and the organization states that it focuses on providing the most enjoyable experience possible for its players in a constructive playing environment at all age levels.

Basketball summer camps include early drop-off up to 30 minutes before the start time and include a SoCal Elite Sports T-shirt, and seasonal youth basketball camps are hosted at local facilities such as IUSD/TUSD schools or community centers. Volleyball Academy League uses a recurring monthly membership with auto-debit. Each basketball camp participant must bring their own appropriately sized basketball and refreshments, as SoCal Elite does not provide basketballs or refreshments, and players are recommended to bring their own water and wear comfortable athletic apparel such as athletic shorts, rubber-soled closed-toed shoes, and short sleeves. Volleyball Academy League players must bring their own appropriately sized volleyball, and knee pads are optional for volleyball. A child is only allowed to attend the class they are registered for, and to change, pause, or stop a membership, families must email the organization with at least 72 hours’ notice.

Parent testimonials describe positive experiences with SoCal Elite’s summer camps, volleyball academy, regular league, and travel teams, including comments about coaching from Coach Tommy and other youth coaches, organization and rigor of the basketball league, and long-term participation in the volleyball academy. Multiple parents report that their children progressed from beginner levels to more advanced classes or school teams and note that they valued the communication from coaches and the structure of weekly schedules and training.
