Founded in 2003, SoCal Elite Sports is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth sports organization. All coaches at the basketball camps are former basketball players who have coached at a high school, college, and/or professional level, and they are trained to work with each age and skill level at the camps. SoCal Elite Sports’ mission is to educate youth about all aspects of sports, promote the life lessons that sports generate, and promote good health and high activity levels to all participants. The organization states that its sports programs are professionally managed to help children stay active, improve skills, and have fun. SoCal Elite provides year-round youth basketball and volleyball programs for all ages and skill levels, combining training, camps, club travel teams, and seasonal recreational leagues. The Weekly Basketball Academy is a year-round clinic with four different skill levels—rookie, beginner, intermediate, and advanced—and each level is progressively more challenging. The program is described as a year-round program that is closed on holidays and uses an auto-debit recurring payment system by credit card with a monthly fee on the same day each month.

Each camper is placed with his or her age group and skill level, and players are grouped by age and ability. Each player is grouped with his or her age group and similar skill level. Campers stay active through drills, instructional sessions, and games. All seasonal youth basketball camps are hosted at local facilities such as IUSD/TUSD schools or community centers. Each participant must bring his or her own appropriately sized basketball and is recommended to bring water or other refreshments and wear comfortable athletic apparel, including athletic shorts, rubber-soled closed-toe shoes, and short sleeves, with no jeans or sandals.

Testimonials also mention that SoCal Elite offers rec leagues, camps, weekly training, and club teams, and that some parents have enjoyed coaching their children’s teams and seeing their growth as players.
