The organization states a mission to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future. Camps and academies are held at over 75 universities, and the program is described as the nation’s original and most trusted youth STEM educator for kids and teens, the world’s largest and most trusted tech program, and a top-rated tech camp.

Instructors are 100% USA-based adults recruited from top universities like Stanford, NYU, and Caltech, with extensive in-person and virtual training sessions, rigorous background and reference checks, and adherence to American Camp Association accredited guidelines. Leadership includes mother and daughter co-founders Kathryn and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi and former CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi, with Tana Barton Haas serving as CEO since 2024 and continuing the organization’s 25-year history in STEM education. The program notes that each experience is led by instructors from universities like Stanford and NYU, uses next-gen labs, and that each course is powered by partners and exclusive curriculum.

iD Tech Camps reports being trusted by the world’s top universities and over 1,000,000 parents, and describes itself as the world’s go-to summer STEM educator. The organization also states that it has grown to 50,000 students per year while spreading its Silicon Valley startup culture around the world and online, and that this year it will offer more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities.
