Since 1999, the family has grown the program from 280 to 50,000 students per year, and iD Tech is described as the original and most trusted STEM camp, as well as the world's largest and most trusted tech program in the world. Programs are offered at over 75 prestigious universities around the country, and over 50,000 girls have graduated from camps and academies.
The organization states its mission as creating life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future. iD Tech is trusted by the world’s top universities and over 1,000,000 parents and adheres to American Camp Association accredited guidelines. This year, iD Tech will offer more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities, with the stated goal to help bridge the digital divide.
Testimonials from former staff describe how teaching Unity at iD Tech led Aspen toward a career as an Associate Designer at Bethesda Softworks, and how Brian M. connected his teaching experience at iD Tech with later software engineering roles at ESPN and the Walt Disney Company. Cody R. links his time teaching kids to develop video games at iD Tech with later engineering roles at Amazon and Airbnb, and Caitlyn M. describes iD Tech as a place of inclusivity and innovation and now works as a Technical Artist at Volvo.
