Its programs focus on identifying and strengthening underlying learning skills such as phonological awareness, processing speed, working memory, and attention, and use cognitive learning therapy that rebuilds underlying processing skills rather than traditional tutoring. The center provides comprehensive dyslexia testing and functional learning assessments.

The Center Director is Sharon Diep, and Sharon studied Speech Pathology and Communicative Disorders. Her mission is to guide families toward real and lasting change.

Stowell Learning Center serves families throughout Orange County including Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and surrounding areas, and works with students from Irvine Unified, Tustin Unified, Saddleback Valley Unified, Capistrano Unified, and local private schools throughout Orange County.
