Turtle Rock Preschool

Turtle Rock Preschool offers infant care for children 8 weeks old and up, toddler care for children 1 year old and up, preschool for 2 year olds, junior pre-kindergarten in the third year, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, after-school academy, enrichment, and summer camp. Its offerings include a natural playground, indoor and outdoor play experiences, and 11 classrooms. The kindergarten program runs for 6 hours from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes teacher-directed and self-directed activities, balanced structured work time, and play.

About the provider

Turtle Rock Preschool has started children off on a lifetime of learning for over 45 years. It describes its philosophy as combining a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with an increasingly challenging academic program that addresses the developmental needs of each child. The school is award-winning, was the first school in Irvine to attain elite accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and has maintained continuous accreditation since 1986. It is an independent, secular, year-round early childhood day school with an average ratio of 1 staff member to 6 children.
