Yamaha Music Center offers Primary Course 1 for age 3, Primary Course 2 for ages 4-5, Young Musicians Course for ages 6-8, and private lessons for school-age children through seniors. Private lessons meet once per week and are offered for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, and a free trial lesson is offered. Free group lessons are offered for age 3, ages 4-5, and ages 6-8, along with a free private lesson.

Yamaha Music Center has over 70 years of music education research behind its programs. Its schools in Irvine and Torrance have been open for 43 years since 1981, and the locations have served these communities for over 40 years. Yamaha group lessons are certified under YMES (Yamaha Music Education System), and instructors hold advanced degrees in music from leading conservatories and universities across the nation. The Yamaha Music Foundation guides the Yamaha Music Education System in 41 countries and sponsors international events such as the Junior Original Concert (JOC).
