Yamaha has been introducing music education to over 6 million students worldwide since 1954 and has invested over 70 years in music education research in dozens of countries. The Yamaha Music Foundation (YMF), established in 1966, guides the development of the Yamaha Music Education System in 41 countries and sponsors international events such as the Junior Original Concert, where countless students from this program have performed overseas with international recognition in Canada, Mexico, and Japan. The Irvine and Torrance schools have been open since 1981 and have been serving their communities for over 40 years, and Yamaha Music Center is described as the “#1 Music Education System Worldwide” and “#1 in music education worldwide.”

Parents and students describe the teachers as awesome, talented, hard working, firm, and caring, and report that their children enjoy playing piano and continue with lessons, as shared by Minal S. Another parent, G. Lim, states that the Yamaha Music School at Irvine has helped their children learn to play music and notes improvements in creativity, confidence when speaking, and other academic skills like math. A student, Grace Chow, reports gaining more confidence performing on stage many times, competing in competitions, and composing an original piece at an early age through the Yamaha program, and also describes the staff as respectful and willing to make sure the experience at Irvine Yamaha School is positive and productive.
