About

The After School and Summer Programs offer a variety of engaging activities for children, including cooking science, making candy, textiles and sewing, improv, making dollhouses, nature art, LEGO Simple Machines, robots, and golf. These activities provide hands-on experiences that cater to diverse interests.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Location: Portable 26, Island High School campus (off of Lincoln Ave. between 5th & 6th streets)

The program has been serving the community since 1982 and is a strategic partner of the Alameda Unified School District. It has been recognized as one of the Top 5 Reader’s Choice STEM Enrichment Programs in Alameda County in 2022 and 2023. The leadership team includes Julia Owens as Executive Director and Rachel Plato as Enrichment Programs Director, among others.
