About
Kids Art Camp offers hands-on activities in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, music, dance, movement, movies, and Mardi Gras mask-making. Campers are placed in small groups based on age and rotate through a variety of art projects each day. A daily snack break is included, and camp goes until 1 p.m. each day.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Multiple one-week summer sessions, generally 9 a.m.–1 p.m., with some sessions including a 1–3 p.m. performing arts block and an end-of-week Gala on Friday from 1:45–3 p.m.
• Price: Session costs range from $280–$600 per session, with different member and non-member rates
Kids Art Camp is led by a staff of experienced, kind, and warm art teachers. North Tahoe Arts, which runs Kids Art Camp, has been supporting artists since 1985 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Its mission is to enrich the Tahoe and Truckee communities by offering diverse, immersive visual arts experiences through galleries, workshops, exhibits, kids programs, and events. North Tahoe Arts also invites kids, families, and adults to a free Mardi Gras mask-making event as part of North Lake Tahoe SnowFest.
