The Art House Fine Art Classes for Kids & Teens

The Art House Fine Art Classes for Kids & Teens offers year-round fine art classes where students practice drawing, painting, and design. Students work with all materials, subjects, and styles, and the program does not use computers. Experience is not necessary, and the program is open to anyone who loves art.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Students attend classes 1 hour every week.

The program serves students from PreK through 12th grade. The Art House Fine Art Classes for Kids & Teens has been in operation since 1987 and is directed by Cherene Raphael. The program is now teaching the children of former students.

Its stated mission is to provide a comprehensive visual arts education that makes “art kids” feel understood, loved, and full of potential. One parent shared that her son loves coming to The Art House, finds it calming, and has found a real passion and curiosity for art. Another parent described being continually impressed with the level of instruction and stated that the staff is passionate about art and has lovingly instilled that same passion in her son, adding that more high quality programs like this are needed in the community.
