Camp Jaycee offers a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, ceramics, magic, dance, fencing, archery, music, computer programming, swimming, LEGO projects, science, strings, ultimate Frisbee, Ga-Ga, and themed options such as Star Wars. The program includes Traditional, Sports, Spanish Immersion, Teen, Theatre, music camps, teen travel, and language options in Hebrew and Spanish. Campers also take part in swimming lessons and a camp-wide Shabbat celebration every week.

• Schedule: Full-day program from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with additional hours available through an Extended Care program
• Price: Flexible monthly payment plans are available for summer camp; financial assistance is available
Camp Jaycee has been operating for 80 years and has provided camp experiences since 1945 for children of all backgrounds and ages from 18 months to 12th grade. The camp is ACA-accredited and National Inclusion Project (NIP) accredited, and the NIP recognizes camps that meet standards of inclusion. Camp Jaycee states that it is an inclusive camp welcoming and serving children of all abilities, with easy access for children with disabilities, and it is committed to providing recreational and social programs for children with disabilities and conducting intake meetings to ensure adequate support. The camp states that it proudly welcomes transgender, intersex, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming campers, and it welcomes campers of all races, religions, and nationalities.
The staff includes highly qualified, ACA-trained personnel with a focus on child development, group dynamics, age-appropriate programming, and first aid, and the camp reports having one of the best staff-to-camper ratios in San Diego. Camp staff and lifeguards are CPR-trained, and American Red Cross-certified instructors provide swim lessons for children from 4 years to third grade. Many leaders at Camp Jaycee started as campers. Three Shlichim (counselors) from Israel share Jewish customs, dancing, music, Hebrew, and more, and every week concludes with a camp-wide Shabbat celebration.
Camp Jaycee is described as a bedrock community that connects campers and their families to the broader Jewish and San Diego communities through shared values of volunteerism, skill-building, life-long friendships, community engagement, and philanthropy. Scholarships are available. Transportation is provided to and from Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch, Del Cerro, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, and Downtown. Any changes or requests, such as early pick-ups, going home with another camper, or a change to a bus schedule, must be submitted in writing, and the camp prefers that families email the camp office so messages are received clearly.
