Camp Jaycee offers a wide range of activities, including traditional camp programs, sports, Spanish immersion, teen and theatre options, arts and crafts, ceramics, magic, dance, fencing, archery, music, computer programming, LEGO projects, science, strings, Ultimate Frisbee, and music camps. Campers can take swimming lessons, enjoy recreation swimming and daily swimming, and participate in activities such as Ga-Ga, Star Wars-themed programs, teen travel, leadership training, Hebrew and Spanish, dancing, and music related to Judaica. Spring Break options include Spring Break Bugs Camp (Grades TK-6) and Cooking Camp: Around the World in 5 Delicious Days! (Grades TK-6), and each week of camp concludes with a camp-wide Shabbat celebration that includes Jewish customs, dancing, music, Hebrew, and more.

• Schedule: Spring Break sessions include a 3-day Week 1 (Monday, Mar 30 – Wednesday, Apr 1) and a 5-day Week 2 (Monday, April 6 – Friday, April 10), with a full camp day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and optional Extended Care before and after camp
• Price: $18.00/hour; $15.00/hour for JCC Members (Extended Care fees)
For 80 years, Camp Jaycee has been dedicated to creating magical experiences for children and has been providing campers with adventure, friendship, and memories since 1945. The camp is ACA-accredited and National Inclusion Project (NIP) accredited, and ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies, while NIP Accreditation is described as one of the country’s gold standard inclusive recreation providers. Camp Jaycee is described as a bedrock community that connects campers and their families to the broader Jewish and San Diego communities through shared values of volunteerism, skill-building, life-long friendships, community engagement, and philanthropy.
Highly qualified staff are American Camping Association (ACA)-trained with a focus on child development, group dynamics, age-appropriate programming, and first aid, and camp staff and lifeguards are CPR-trained. American Red Cross-certified instructors provide swim lessons for children from 4 years to third grade. Camp Jaycee has three Shlichim (counselors) from Israel who share Jewish customs, dancing, music, Hebrew, and more. The camp is ACA-accredited and National Inclusion Project (NIP) accredited, serves as a model summer camp welcoming and serving children of all abilities, and offers one of the best staff-to-camper ratios in San Diego, with scholarships, financial assistance, and flexible monthly payment plans available for summer camp, as well as transportation to and from Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch, Del Cerro, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, and Downtown. Camp Jaycee states that it proudly welcomes transgender, intersex, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming campers, is committed to providing recreational and social programs for children with disabilities, and conducts intake meetings to ensure adequate support. Campers swim every day, participate in engaging, educational, and fun activities across many interests, and families can request changes such as early pick-ups, going home with another camper, or bus schedule changes in writing, preferably by email to the camp office.
