About

La Jolla Tennis Club Junior Summer Camps offers tennis activities that include clinics, camps, and private lessons for juniors. Participants have access to tennis courts and can also use a ball machine as part of their tennis experience.

• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Pro Shop and courts are open Monday–Friday 8 AM–9 PM and Saturday–Sunday 9 AM–6 PM, with a daily closure between 12:30 PM–2:30 PM and closures on all federal holidays

La Jolla Tennis Club has served the community since it was chartered in 1923 and has hosted the La Jolla Championships every year since 1917. The club maintains nine city-owned courts, with five courts equipped with lights and three courts with bleacher seating. It has over 900 members and also offers day passes for non-members. The club is led by Club Manager Jon Ross and operates as a 501(c)4 non-profit organization. It hosts the Annual La Jolla Tennis Championships, which routinely attracts over 600 top players from surrounding areas, and it runs a free two-week summer clinic for juniors ages 6 to 12 who might not otherwise find access to instruction. The La Jolla Championships is described as the longest running tennis tournament continually held at the same venue in the world.
