RADA Jiu Jitsu Academy is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and martial arts school that caters to kids and adults alike. The academy is headed up by Professor Rafael Dallinha, who is also the head instructor. RADA Jiu Jitsu has been voted Best Martial Arts Academy in La Jolla for four years in a row. Its mission is to spread the art of Jiu Jitsu and help people learn useful self-defense skills while providing a fun, fitness-focused atmosphere where men, women, girls, and boys of all ages and experience levels are treated with great respect and made to feel at home. The academy offers programs that introduce the youngest children to Jiu Jitsu and kids programs that build confidence, self-discipline, respect, physical fitness, self-defense, and social skills, and it caters to smaller classes as an exclusive Jiu Jitsu academy in La Jolla. RADA Jiu Jitsu Academy also offers private Jiu Jitsu classes that focus on individual student needs, as well as free San Diego Jiu Jitsu trial classes and other free class or free pass opportunities.
One parent reports that her son has been training with Eduardo and Rafael at RADA for five years and her daughter for one year, and that the professors have helped all of them learn Jiu Jitsu and helped her children grow into happy, confident, respectful pre-teens, and she recommends the academy for both kids and adults. Another parent describes RADA as the best BJJ gym in San Diego, notes that they follow every step to teach any age, and shares that his six-year-old daughter quickly came to love it. A third reviewer describes the gym as friendly and welcoming, and says that as a starter in BJJ he felt comfortable asking questions and found it a very good academy and starting place for anyone interested in the sport or in a workout.
