Programs

• Intermediate Fusing Workshop Series — Must be age 18+ · Meets one day a week for six weeks · $395 · Previous fused glass experience is helpful but not required. Self-guided class, free from structured lectures.
• Private Wheel Lessons (Up to 2 people) — Private lesson; Friday date nights available · $90–$160 · One-on-one private lesson to improve technique and wheel skills.
• Glass, Glass, and More Glass! — 5 week series, 3 hours per class · $300 · Students complete a new project each week while learning introductory fused class tin a welcoming, hands-on environment. No previous fused glass experience is required.
• Beginner Pottery Wheel (Ages 17+) — Ages 17+ · 5 week series, 2 hours per class · Hands on group class covering fundamentals: wedging, centering, opening, pulling and creating cylinders and other shapes on the wheel.
• Intro to Handbuilding — 5 week series, 2.5 hours per class · $280 · Beginner course introducing the basics of handbuilding ceramics, including pinch, coil, soft slab and surface decoration.
• Colored Clay & Pattern Workshop — October 24 & 25, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm · $275–$295 · Deb Kaller is back by popular demand. Explore the possibilities of colored porcelain clay.
• Private Event or Party — Must be age 16+ · $85–$100 · Private parties in wheel, hand-building, or fused glass. Cost is typically per person depending on class type, size, and project.
• Pottery Wheel Bootcamp — 5-week series, 2 hours per class · $325 · Intended for those already comfortable with centering and throwing pieces independently on the potter's wheel. Goal is to improve throwing technique.

About the provider

Get Centered Clay Studio was originally founded by Elly in 2008. The studio was sold to Jen in 2018, and Debbie and Leslie purchased it in January 2022. Debbie, Valaré "Val", Beau, Jesse, and Janella are listed as instructors, and Debbie is the studio owner. The mission statement says the studio aims to provide a welcoming and open environment for creativity and to create an inclusive community where all levels of artists can feel inspired and supported.

Minimum age for all classes, lessons and workshops is 15. A guardian must be present for anyone under 18. One-time workshops may be cancelled for a full refund minus a $30 transaction fee per user or rescheduled no later than 7 days prior. Ongoing classes may be cancelled for a full refund minus a $50 non-refundable deposit per user or rescheduled no later than 30 days prior. Private events and private classes are non-refundable and require 72 hours advanced notice to reschedule.
