Originally known as San Diego Gymnastics, the organization opened its first location in San Diego in 2008. GForce Gymnastics & Parkour states that it combines a passion for gymnastics with a commitment to empowering children through fitness and describes itself as a place where young athletes build confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills. GForce Gymnastics and Parkour centers and San Diego Gymnastics describe themselves as more than a gym and as a community offering programs that foster lasting friendships.

All instructors are USAG certified and background checked, and all coaches are USAG certified and CPR/First Aid certified. The coaching staff includes American Parkour Certified Instructors and American Parkour Instructors, as well as staff with expertise in kinesiology, teaching, early childhood development, and psychology. Each instructor goes through extensive, one-of-a-kind training and holds specialized certifications.

Owners Doug and Christina Grady lead the program; Christina grew up in east county, was an avid gymnast and all-around athlete, and attended the University of California Irvine on a basketball scholarship, while Doug grew up in San Diego and earned his degree in entrepreneurship at the University of Southern California. GForce facilities are described as state-of-the-art, with state-of-the-art equipment, frequent cleaning, regular facility maintenance, and parent-friendly viewing areas that include comfortable seating, WiFi, and air conditioning.

GForce Gymnastics and Parkour centers are independently owned and operated, with nationwide franchise opportunities available. A new San Diego Gymnastics – Poway location is planned for 2026, and GForce Gymnastics & Parkour is opening in the San Francisco Bay Area, with enrollment information coming soon. Classes are organized by age and skill level, with strict class ratios of no more than 8 students per instructor, and all classes are continuous so children can join or stop at any time. The program notes that it offers flexible scheduling, the ability to transfer to another class if a family’s schedule changes, and programs and events beyond regular classes, such as camps, parties, and other special events happening on a regular basis.

GForce offers recreational and invite-only competitive team gymnastics classes, parkour classes that progress from basic to advanced obstacles, and seasonal camps. It also offers inclusive classes that cater to special needs with smaller class sizes, minimized transitions, added visual aids, and a calm atmosphere without loud music. An annual fee per child is charged each year a child is actively enrolled in classes, there are no makeup classes in order to maintain small ratios, and sibling or second-class discounts are available only for Founders Club Members.

Parent feedback about San Diego Gymnastics locations includes comments that children adore the coaches, that coaches balance encouragement and fun, and that children enjoy every class.
