• Ages: 3–18 years old
Adaptive Art at Art Major Studios is curated by significant support needs educator McKenna Aslin, M.Ed., and includes special supplies and materials to be accessible to friends of all abilities. The studio’s leadership includes Allie (owner), Commander Arthur Major, U.S. Navy (founder’s grandfather and studio namesake), and McKenna Aslin, M.Ed. Art Major Studio was born from a mother’s fierce passion to craft a space where creativity, inspiration, and empowerment could flourish for both her children and herself. Its mission is to spark creativity, boost confidence, and inspire colorful minds in a fun and positive space, and to ignite happiness and positivity in everyone who walks through its doors so that people of all ages leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and more joyful than when they arrived. Children at the studio have made Christmas cards for the Senior Center and a compliment box to spread good cheer. The program also offers franchise opportunities with plans to expand in 2025.
Parents describe the space as organized, colorful, and creative, and say their children “loved the classes” and camps, calling days there “the best day ever.” Families report enjoying the convenience of open crafting sessions, winter camp, and birthday parties, with one parent calling a party there “the best party she has ever had.” Multiple testimonials highlight owner Allie and the staff as welcoming, energetic, and focused on creating a nurturing environment, and note that the crafts are seasonal, educational, and produce keepsakes their families plan to cherish for years. Another parent shared that Art Major Studios was “the perfect venue” for a 3rd birthday party, with staff helping set up, coordinate activities, and clean up after the event.
