First School of the Desert – La Quinta offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum with a balance of academic and social instruction. Each class follows a curriculum geared to the age group of that particular class, and children are taught and cared for in their own classrooms and peer groups.

• Ages: 1–6 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, with options for two, three, or five full days per week
• Price: The rate structure varies according to the number of days per week that a child attends.

The La Quinta facility opens at 6:30 am and closes at 6:00 pm five days a week and provides 11.5 hours of care per day. Families may enroll children for two full days on Tuesday and Thursday, three full days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or five full days Monday through Friday, and the days chosen for attendance are fixed and cannot change from week to week. The La Quinta campus stands on an acre and a half of land, holds preschool equipment and supplies, and has individual classes for each separate age group. First School of the Desert, La Quinta was built in 2001.
