Temple Isaiah

Temple Isaiah offers Gan Ilan Preschool, a play-based, child-centered preschool with Jewish learning and enrichment activities. It also offers Camp Kefli, with theme days, arts and crafts, Macabbiah, kumzitz skits, and Bay Area adventures, and Noar Night, a teen program held on Wednesday nights.

• Camp Kefli — Entering Kindergarten through 8th grade · 2 1/2 weeks at the end of summer; camp begins at 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm every day; early care 8:00-8:45 AM; drop-off 8:45-9:00 AM; pick-up 3:30-3:45 PM; aftercare 3:45-5:30 PM · $1,145–$1,550 per session · Jewish summer camp with theme days, arts & crafts, Macabbiah, kumzitz skits, and Bay Area adventures.
• Noar Night (Teen School) — 8th-12th grade · Wednesday nights · Teen program focused on expanding Jewish mind and soul.
• Avodah Teaching Assistants at JQuest — 8th-12th grade · Weekly from September - May; during JQuest on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons or Sunday morning · Teen leadership program serving as teaching assistants.
• Camp Kefli Staff — 9th-12th grade · 2 1/2 weeks at the end of summer · Counselor in Training for 9th grade; counselor for 10th grade through high school graduate.
• Lafty Leadership Board (LLB) — 9th-12th grade · June - May · Teen leadership board with elections for President.
• Isaiah Teen Interns — 9th-12th grade · Varied, throughout year (July - June) · Flexible internship tasks; can help with youth groups, teen High Holy Day services, Kefli Nights, and more.
• Anachnu (7th & 8th Grade Youth Group) — 7th and 8th grade · Varied, typically on weekends every 6-8 weeks & annual LA Trip · Youth group for deepening Jewish connections.
• Lafty (High School Youth Group) — 9th-12th grade · Varied, typically on weekends around once a month · High school youth group for deepening Jewish connections.
• Adult Programs — Adults · Adult Jewish learning, havurot, Circles, ParTI, and an adult Jewish camp weekend.

About the provider

Temple Isaiah was established in 1999. Gan Ilan Preschool earned a 2026 Best of the Best Bronze Award. Temple Isaiah says its mission is to embody, enhance and perpetuate Jewish tradition through worship, Torah study, acts of Tikun Olam, a relationship with Israel, Jewish rituals and life cycle events, and a caring community. The community information says Temple Isaiah offers life-long learning through preschool, Hebrew school, Sunday school, youth groups, teen school, and adult education, and that the community is inclusive of interfaith, L.G.B.T.Q., and members with special needs and all abilities.

Registration for the school year is available to both members and nonmembers of Temple Isaiah. Gan Ilan is open to the entire community. Preschool tours are for adults only. Camp Kefli members can request one week only; limited spots available; camperships are available for Temple Isaiah members based on financial need.
