Sizzling Latin Dance Studio – Kids & Teen DanceSport Program offers dance lessons that include a ballroom dancesport program, Kids Competitive DanceSport Program, and Preteen Competitive DanceSport Program. The program teaches international Latin dance styles such as Chachacha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive/Swing, Bolero, and Mambo, as well as international standard styles such as Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quick Step. Students also learn social dances including Argentine Tango, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Burlesque, and Hiphop, with instruction in dance technique, choreography, musicality, coordination, flexibility, and mental and physical training for dancers.

• Price: $25 per group class per person; $159 per couple for a single 45 minute dance lesson/fun dating; $179 per couple for a single 60 minutes dance lesson/serious dating; $599 $499 per couple for Starter/Wedding/Speed dating Package (four private lessons) for first time customers only; $660 per couple for four 60 minute lessons/couple in the "Happiness! Best Value package" ($82.5 per person); Holiday Dance Lesson Sale starter package $499 for up to two people, for all levels and ages, valid for a full year.

The kids’ program is part of a broader dancesport training program that includes training competitor dancers and dance teams to win competitions, as well as coaching head teachers, team captains, and group leaders for competition seasons. Sizzling Latin Dance Studio states as its mission, “Where we raise champions both in dancing and for life.” The studio is recognized in Dance Sport by the United States Olympic Committee, and some Sizzling Latin groups are preparing for the youth Olympic games. Sizzling Latin students are earning first place awards in five big international and 5–6 regional level competitions in the San Francisco Bay Area, and students after a year of hard work can enter the US national championships and later the world championships.

The program is led by director and founder Timea Potys, a world class professional dance coach, performer and choreographer, whose professional dance partner is Zsolt Katona. Trainers at the studio are registered by the World Dance Council and the National Dance Council of America. Timea is a world champion dancer, a Professional Latin Rising Star Finalist and Open Professional Latin finalist representing the US in major competitions worldwide, and has 15 years of dance teaching experience. She is the Latin coach for the UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz Ballroom Teams and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. The studio is open Monday–Sunday from 8am–11:30pm.
