MATTHIAS Drum Lessons

Matthias Drum Lessons offers drum lessons and live online drum lessons that include private drum instruction, live improvisation, and band education. Students work on reading drum and music notation, learning meter, groove, fills, songs, drum set theory, favored songs, and improvisation. The program also includes studio recording and editing using state-of-the-art equipment and live instrumentation.

Drums have been a continual focus for Matthias since starting in Orinda, California around 1979. Matthias leads the program as owner and operator of Matthiasdrumlessons.com, company leader for Perfect World Entertainment, touring drummer for the melodic hard rock band HARDLINE, and recording drummer for the Brad Gillis Solo Project. His background includes over 25 years as a national touring and recording drummer, major record deals, and thousands of live shows and recordings worldwide, and he provides internet drum tracks for artists around the world. The lesson program follows a stated curriculum that focuses on meter, groove, fills, songs, and reading, with an emphasis on individual drum instruction at all levels in what is described as an entertaining musical atmosphere and a fun and relaxing environment.
