The Studio Violin is a full service, warm and welcoming Suzuki Violin School that provides expert violin instruction to children ages 3–18 years old through the Suzuki Method, with a mission summarized as JOY. COMMUNITY. EXCELLENCE. The studio is comprised of 50+ families of various backgrounds and musical experience and describes itself as a close knit group of families speaking the common language of music. The Studio Violin is active in the local Suzuki Association of Northern California chapter, and students attend regional events every year with students from other studios, as well as summer Suzuki Institutes throughout the country. The studio follows strict guidelines from the CDC and Contra Costa County Public Health, including masks worn by all parties until it is safe to do so, hand sanitizing before and after lessons, and cleaning of surfaces and any instruments needed for instruction, and lessons may be moved outdoors or online if any party is unwell or has tested positive for COVID-19. The Studio Violin is full and is accepting students onto the waiting list.

Chloe Ross runs The Studio Violin. One parent states that Ms. Chloe delivers very high caliber violin lessons, keeps herself trained with the Suzuki methods, and has inspired their daughter’s interest in playing the violin and respect for violinists. Another statement notes that Ms. Chloe is meticulous, has unique skills to nurture the passion in kids, and instills patience and the importance of continuous practice.

The studio offers HVAC and keeps the air in circulation, and the studio restroom is closed during the pandemic with the exception of emergencies, with a request that families use the restroom before coming to the lesson. Hands are sanitized by all parties before and after lessons, and families are asked to leave the dog at home for concerts.
