Pillar Kids Preschool offers daily activities that include art for self-expression through painting, drawing, and crafts; blocks and construction for spatial reasoning and problem-solving; dramatic play to build imagination and social skills; music and movement for rhythm, coordination, and joyful expression; literacy and language for early reading and storytelling; and math and science through hands-on exploration of patterns, counting, and the natural world. Pillar Kids Preschool operates inside Lafayette’s Pillar community hub, which is a 5,000 square-foot coworking space that includes on-site childcare as part of its coworking amenities. Every Pillar Kids enrollment includes a complimentary parent coworking membership during school hours, with coworking operating hours from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The space includes a conference room with a whiteboard, monitor, screencasting capabilities, HDMI cord, eight ergonomic board room chairs, and a HEPA air purifier, as well as space for nursing and milk storage for moms, comfortable nap spaces, and personal cubbies and hooks for children’s belongings. Pillar offers special events and visiting performers throughout the year and hosts community events in its intimate event venue.

The program is a licensed onsite preschool with license number 073408950. Educators are cleared through fingerprint checks by California Licensing background checks, including the DOJ and FBI, and have a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education. The leadership team includes Founder and Director Amirh Davis, consultant and subject matter expert Ashley Parks, M.A., and full-time teachers Miss Angelina and Lam.
