Pillar Kids offers safe outdoor exploration and discovery, art, music, storytelling, and sensory experiences as part of its daily activities. The program also includes walking trips to the Lafayette Library as a regular part of the children’s experience.

Pillar Kids operates as Lafayette's only licensed preschool located inside a coworking hub and is part of a 5,000 square-foot coworking space. Every enrollment includes complimentary coworking access for parents during school hours through a hot desk membership, with flexible workspace and membership options available. The program uses purposefully designed learning environments with comfortable nap and quiet spaces and maintains small class sizes and low educator-to-child ratios in an intentionally small preschool. Pillar Kids follows a Reggio-inspired emergent curriculum with an educational philosophy that is child-centered, play-based, and community-led, recognizing children as capable, curious learners and emphasizing that families are valued partners in education and that play is one of the most powerful forms of learning. The program is a licensed California preschool (Lic. 073408950), welcomes all families in an inclusive environment, and accepts childcare vouchers and government subsidies. Children are taught by DOJ and FBI fingerprint-cleared educators who are experienced early childhood education professionals. Community involvement includes walking trips to the Lafayette Library and use of an intimate event venue for gatherings.
