About
The St. Perpetua Faith Formation Program combines religious education, participation in weekly liturgies, faith families, and preparation for sacraments. The Faith Formation program will be returning to in-person classes and serves over 350 children each year. Each family is asked to contribute volunteer hours to the program, with volunteer opportunities listed in a Sign Up Genius on the registration webpage and additional sign-up options planned when in-person classroom instruction resumes.
• Ages: 6–11 years old
The program’s mission states that in children’s faith formation the goal is to provide the fundamentals of the Catholic faith in an engaging and supportive atmosphere. The mission also states that each component of religious education, weekly liturgies, faith families, and sacrament preparation is considered equally important and is intended to immerse children into the Catholic community while developing their relationship with Jesus. The sacrament program is described as a two-year program that children are encouraged to begin in first grade, and Faith Family Sessions will be offered four times throughout the year. The leadership team includes Kim Anderson (Director of Faith Formation), Mary Jo (MJ) Malabuyo (Director of Music Ministry), Rev. Jimmy Macalinao D.Min. (Parish Administrator), Martha Manzone (Pastoral Assistant), Gianni Manzone (Business Manager), Andrew Berkes (Confirmation Coordinator), Chuck Anderson (Jr. High Faith Formation), Oscar Jovel (Maintenance), Deacon Jorge Aragon (Bookkeeper), Molly Gotchet (School Principal), and Isy Milosevich (School Vice Principal).
