The Karate & Fitness Place USA

The Karate & Fitness Place USA offers traditional Shito-Ryu karate, self defense classes, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. It is described as a dojo where the entire family can train together and be part of a much larger community of Karate-do. The program is described as fun, exciting, challenging, and focused on competition, and it welcomes new students of all abilities, levels, and ages to participate.

The Karate & Fitness Place USA was established in 1983. The founder and President is Sensei Thomas Westernoff, also referred to as Sensei Tom. The dojo’s mission statement is “Strengthening America’s Families.” It is described as a Recognized Karate School of Black Belt Excellence with award winning programs. Many students have gone on to become National and World Champions and are recognized as top competitors in the sport of karate. The core traditional values in their karate teachings are Respect, Self-Discipline, Dedication, Humility, establishing a hard work ethic, and building a solid foundation. Students learn traditional Shito-Ryu karate, a style recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in a professional and fun teaching environment. Safety is stated as the priority in their self defense clinics. The program offers private and semi-private lessons for students who are not comfortable training in a big class setting. The Karate & Fitness Place USA offers a One Week Free option, with the first week described as free.
