Town Hall Education offers classes that include creating, acting, singing, and dancing. The program also includes Adult Improv as one of its specific activities.

Town Hall Education is the education department at Town Hall Theatre Company, and Town Hall Studio is located in the Lamorinda Music Studios. Town Hall Education states that it is a process-based program committed to serving students from pre-school age through adulthood. Its mission statement is: “Empowering an ensemble of storytellers to connect, empathize and commit.” The program states that its core values focus on student empowerment; creating connections, empathy, and trust; and supporting student creativity. Town Hall Education states that it is dedicated to providing students of all ages with process-based, high quality, and engaging theatrical experiences, and that it strives to create classrooms where students can grow in a safe environment and build their voice through theatrical expression. The program states that in its classes and in its building, it has built a strong and welcoming community. It also states that with new camps beginning all summer long, there is something to fit different schedules and students.

The leadership team includes Managing Director Morgan Dayley, Education Director Erika March, Technical & Facilities Director [email protected], Director of Community Experience Elizabeth Curtis, and Education Coordinator Kelly Handler. Staff credentials include Larissa Kelloway, Ph.D., B.Sc.(Hons.) Biochem, B.A. (Musical Theatre), and Kelly, who received a bachelor’s in Theater from Mills College in Oakland in 2021.

Town Hall Education states that it is able to accommodate payment plans on a case-by-case basis. It also states that it is able to offer scholarships for any students whose family is in need of financial assistance, and that no student is turned away for financial reasons.

Families are told that students should arrive to class in appropriate, comfortable clothing, including shoes, with absolutely no flip flops or open-toe shoes. Students are asked to bring a pencil and something to write in, along with any required class materials such as provided scripts. The program also recommends that students bring a light snack and a reusable water bottle.
