Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre

Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre includes camps during Ski Week, Spring Break, and Summer, as well as youth productions, conservatory classes, and other workshops and classes. The program offers classes and performance opportunities for young actors and invites children and adults to attend special productions designed for young audiences. Actors of all ages share their talents through Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre, and youth conservatory scholarship assistance is provided annually through The Jessica Herron Memorial Scholarship Fund. Educational productions are also presented in local schools.

Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre is part of Laguna Playhouse, which was founded as a community theatre in 1920 and is one of the oldest continuously operating, not-for-profit theatres on the West Coast. Youth conservatory students learn from industry professionals. Laguna Playhouse is a member of the League of Resident Theatres and has been named “Best in OC” in Live Theatre by the OC Register every year since 2015. Its educational productions in local schools have been honored by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education, Arts Orange County, and the Orange County Department of Education. The mission of Laguna Playhouse is to enrich lives through live theatre, provide educational opportunities for children and adults, and create experiences that stimulate cultural and social interaction and inspire the community.
