No Square Theatre Youth Programs offers theatre camps, workshops for all ages, and children’s theatre, along with plays, musicals, revues, and choral performances. The program periodically includes a summer program that ends in a Broadway-style musical revue and also presents theatre for the deaf and hearing impaired. All participants in auditions and programs are required to be properly immunized.

No Square Theatre Youth Programs is part of a not-for-profit organization that provides performance and theatrical experience to local amateur performers, directors, and technical staff of all ages, with ticket prices affordable for the whole family, and is generously sponsored by The Lodging Establishments and the City of Laguna Beach. The organization’s mission is to provide performance, theatrical experience, and education to local amateur performers of all ages and to nurture a love of theatre and the performing arts within the community. The theatre is home to Lagunatics, an annual roast of life on the coast that was named Best Arts Program in Laguna Beach in 2024, and its events schedule includes the annual Lagunatics show along with other plays, musicals, revues, and choral performances. The leadership team includes President and Founding Artistic Director Bree Burgess Rosen, Vice President and Fundraising Chair Dr. Tom Bent, Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair Alan Sofferman, Secretary and Governance Chair Marc Marger, Artistic Director Joe Lauderdale, Board Members Juliet Fischer, Judge Geoffrey Glass, and Rebecca Lyles, Managing Director Rob Harryman, and Assistant Artistic Director Hillary Pearson. Critics have described productions associated with the theatre as “bright, inventive, and breezy… mildly sexy, vastly diverting and highly amusing,” “a tasteful marriage of music, laughs and all-around fun… best new entertainment this year,” “warm, witty, lively and terrific,” “a brilliantly, lively and scintillating evening of cabaret,” “a show of tremendous musicality and great wit,” and “undemanding and uplifting, old-school showbiz fun.”
