About
CA TaeKwonDo Center offers kids martial arts and self-defense training. The program includes a Pre-School martial arts program, an Elementary martial arts program, and a Teens/Adults/Family martial arts program. Each vigorous hour spent training is described as an opportunity to build confidence and discipline, and both mental and physical strength.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Each session is described as a vigorous hour spent training
Serving the community since 1999, CA TaeKwonDo Center is led by Grandmaster Si-Young Jo. The Pre-School (Age 4–6) martial arts program focuses on developing focus, attention, and listening skills through Eye Focus, Mind Focus, and Body Focus. The Elementary (Age 6–12) martial arts program includes learning Black Belt Skills to support a positive attitude in an individual or team environment and encourages students to stand up for themselves. The Teens/Adults/Family (Age 12 and up) martial arts program includes self-defense, self-discipline, self-confidence, and perseverance with the theme “Challenge Yourself.” The program states a mission to combine tradition and innovation, emphasizing self-defense and self-discovery rather than competition, and to focus on inner development over solely outward display. The center notes that it offers life skills for a child's personal development and invites families to schedule a free intro class. It has been serving areas including Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills, Mission Viejo, Trabuco Canyon, and Rancho Santa Margarita, and lists sponsorship by Elite Sports.
