Arts for Youth Program

The Arts for Youth Program includes educational and inspirational dance performances, musical performances, and theatrical performances. These performances take place both at a performing arts center and through in-school outreaches as part of the program.

Since its inception in 1989, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation has supported the Lancaster Performing Arts Center facility and programming connected to the Arts for Youth Program. The Foundation’s stated mission is to enrich, inspire and unite the diverse community of the Antelope Valley through the common language and experience of the performing arts and arts education. In partnership with the community and the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, the Foundation has made it possible for thousands of students to experience these educational and inspirational dance, musical and theatrical performances through the Arts for Youth Program and in-school outreaches. Community Performing Arts Grants are awarded annually by the Foundation to organizations for their involvement in the performing arts, and the Foundation developed a Performing Arts Scholarship program in 2016 that commits to award a $5,000 performing arts scholarship each year to a deserving local high school graduate.
