Lancaster United Methodist Christian Children's Center After School Program

Lancaster United Methodist Christian Children's Center After School Program includes time for children to do homework, socialize with friends, and go outside and play. As part of the program, children attend Chapel once a week for a Bible lesson and talk with the Pastor once a month. The program takes place at Lancaster United Methodist Christian Children's Center (C.C.C.), which states that it will provide a caring, nurturing, and learning environment.

Fifty years ago, Lancaster United Methodist Church began offering affordable child care and Christian spiritual enrichment for families. The church views Christian Children's Center as a ministry and service to the community and states that it seeks to minister to families. The program is described as a faith-based school where children are encouraged to continue peer socialization and model Christian-like behaviors, and where they can spend after-school time, school breaks, and summertime breaks at the center. C.C.C. provides transportation from designated local elementary schools to the facility, and the Kindergarten program has a low teacher-to-student ratio with a small class size.
