The Executive Administrator and Director are managed by a Volunteer Board and Early Education consultants for quality assurance.
The program follows a balanced curriculum rooted in the California Preschool Curriculum Framework. All staff are credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and the program adheres to all California state teacher standards. The program is inspected annually and is subject to unscheduled inspection at all times. According to the program’s mission statement, the team provides a loving and inspiring environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish, with a focus on dual immersion toddler care in English and Spanish to support multilingualism in a global society. The mission statement also notes that staff prioritize respect, kindness, safety, and health, and offer a space for active exploration and hands-on learning while aiming to provide a comprehensive early education that prepares children for a global society. A parent testimonial describes Lemon Grove Childcare Center as “not just a childcare center” but “a second family,” and notes the “peace of mind” when taking a child there.
