Sky Family Martial Arts offers Taekwondo and martial arts training. Students train in a safe and supportive environment and can participate as siblings and parents together, as the program is suitable for all family members. A free trial class or free lesson is available for new participants.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Sky Martial Arts has been teaching Taekwondo in the Bay Area since 1992 and now has over 1,000 students. The program operates under the leadership of World Champion and 9th Dan Black Belt, Dr. Jun Yoon. All instructors are highly trained, certified under the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters), and experienced in a variety of martial arts styles. Sky Family Martial Arts has five locations worldwide, serving Livermore/Pleasanton, Dublin, Los Altos, Mumbai (India), and Chuncheon (South Korea).
The school’s stated philosophy is that martial arts training is about physical fitness as well as mental and emotional growth, based on principles of respect, self-discipline, perseverance, humility, self-control, and integrity. The mission describes Taekwondo as a way of life and a tool for teaching character development and life skills, with an emphasis on building a strong body, mind, and spirit on and off the mat.
According to its credentials, Sky Family Martial Arts has produced 2 World Championship medalists, 12 US National Team Members, 18 US National Champions, and more than 20 California State Champions, along with thousands of disciplined martial artists. All instructors are certified under the Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters).
