Lompoc AYSO Region 77 Youth Soccer offers youth soccer for children and teens. The program follows AYSO's Six Philosophies in how teams are formed, how players participate, and how coaches work with players.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
Lompoc AYSO Region 77 Youth Soccer follows AYSO's vision to provide youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. Its mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs that promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Six Philosophies. These philosophies are Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. Every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game, and each year new teams are formed to be as evenly balanced as possible. The program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer, with no elimination try-outs and no players cut from participation. AYSO requires coaches to create a positive experience for every boy and girl.
AYSO, the national organization connected with this program, has partnered with Chicago Public Schools to enhance youth sports programming. Michael Karon, President of AYSO, has been recognized by Stack Sports for his impact in the world of sports volunteering.
