Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy Camps

Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy offers seasonal theatre camps, after school enrichment classes, musical theatre pop-up/intensives, training and coaching, performance, and dance. Programs serve as training and coaching, a creative outlet, a community, and a stepping stone in a life of inspired personal expression, and the academy respects and honors all levels of interest in musical theatre. The philosophy of the program is rooted in the age-old art of storytelling and how it connects people, and it is based on the belief that the study of this art form in its performance construct builds empathy and a stronger sense of self.

Emerging Artists Musical Theatre Academy has proudly supported performance education for Southern California families for over twelve years, since its inception in 2013 by Director and Founder Sonya Henning. The academy believes that musical theatre should be accessible to everyone, and instructors and programs honor children of all genders and backgrounds. Many students return season after season, with some returning as assistants into their early adulthood. The program’s mission is to provide students of all ages with a knowledge of theatre, movement, and musicality, as well as production and performance technique in an established environment that cultivates self-expression and self-discovery.
