Long Beach Shotokan Karate Dojo

Long Beach Shotokan Karate Dojo offers Shotokan karate practice for everyone at any age. Practice is every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and every Friday from 5:00pm to 6:45pm. No special equipment is needed, and visitors can observe or practice with the dojo once or twice with no charge.

About the provider

Long Beach Shotokan Karate Dojo was founded in 2011. Osamu Nishimura is the leader and holds a 2nd degree black belt, and Andy Ungos is the Dojo Manager. The mission is to strengthen body, mind and spirit, perfect character, and faithfully transmit the art to future generations.

Black belt testing is free but by invitation only. Members can attend SKA regional, national, and international events open to their rank, and test for rank twice per year at no charge. Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins, and be ready.
