Mission Muay Thai Youth & Teen Muay Thai Program includes Muay Thai training, self-defense courses, pad work training, sparring, and strength and fitness training. The program also includes team building activities and functional fitness through M8 Strength & Conditioning.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Youth and teen classes offered Monday to Friday, 4:30–6:00pm
• Price: $10 intro promotion class for all first-time students; drop-in fee available for the Tiffany Van Soest Muay Thai Development Class
The program takes place at Mission Muay Thai, which has state-of-the-art gym training equipment, two professional boxing rings, heavy bags and boxing bags, and a dedicated mat area for learning Muay Thai technique, pad work training, and sparring. Student memberships are offered without long-term contracts. M8 Strength & Conditioning in the program is built around functional fitness principles. The Tiffany Van Soest Muay Thai Development Class is open to adults and teens of all levels and is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
The leadership team includes Jessie Sierra, a professional fighter, WBC Muay Thai International Gold Medalist, USMTO Champion, Atomweight IKF Champion, and Head Youth Coach at Mission Muay Thai, and Travis “Tornado” Petralba, a WBC Muay Thai National Champion. Recommended instructors include Kru Jace and NASM Certified Coaches. Tiffany Van Soest is Mission Muay Thai’s advisor and is described as one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport.
Mission Muay Thai states that its mission is to empower individuals in the Long Beach community through the art of authentic Muay Thai training and to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community where people of all backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels can learn, grow, and excel in the traditional art and sport of Muay Thai. Mission Muay Thai is officially recognized as a United States Muay Thai Federation Club, is M.T.I.A licensed, and has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Office of Boxing Sports Board and Sports Authority of Thailand as an official and certified Muay Thai gym in Los Angeles, California.
Mission Muay Thai hosts community events that bring together students, families, and friends to celebrate teamwork, togetherness, and the spirit of Muay Thai. They hosted a Youth Movement Academy event that offered free self-defense courses to youth in Long Beach, with campers taking part in team building activities while learning to protect themselves and others. They also introduced the non-profit organization Make It Your Mission Now!, which is committed to developing Mission Muay Thai Academy scholarships and funding resources for competition registration, travel, and lodging to help students compete domestically and internationally through charitable contributions.
