The YMCA of Greater Long Beach states that its mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. YMCA of Greater Long Beach, through its eight branches, serves a population of over 816,000 in the cities of Long Beach, Signal Hill, Lakewood, Hawaiian Gardens, Bellflower, Paramount, Cerritos, Artesia, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach and Big Bear. The program notes that its Y Camps are all about choices, with campers choosing from a wide variety of activities, and that Summer Day Camps are designed to support working families while giving kids a summer packed with fun, friendships, and growth.
